HappenBoard adds 21 blocks to the WordPress block editor, and HappenBoard Pro adds 10 more. This page lists them by purpose, so you can pick the right block and open its guide.
Blocks marked Pro need HappenBoard Pro. What Pro adds lists everything else it brings.
Add a HappenBoard block
- Open a page, a post or a template in the editor.
- Click the + button at the top left to open the block inserter.
- Find the HappenBoard category, placed first in the list, or type the block name in the search field.
- Click the block to insert it.
- Set its options in the block settings sidebar on the right.
Your server builds each block when the page is shown, so the editor preview is the real result. When you change an event, every block that shows it is up to date on the next page view.
Calendars and lists of events
These blocks choose their own events, so they work on any page, post or template.

Blocks for the event page
These blocks show the event of the page they are on. Place them in the template that all your events share, as explained in Building a single event page. On an ordinary page they have no event to read and show nothing.

Good to know
- Dates and times follow your site’s formats and time zone, set in Settings → General.
- Calendars and lists show published events only. Drafts and private events never appear.
- With WPML or Polylang, they show the events of the language being viewed.
- With Elementor, 8 blocks are also widgets in a HappenBoard category: Calendar, Upcoming Events, Events List, Events Grid, Event Query Loop, Save Event Button, My Schedule and Event Series: All Dates.
