HappenBoard Pro is a paid add-on for the free HappenBoard plugin. It adds paid tickets, tools for the day of the event, more blocks, online booking payments and connections to other services. This page lists each feature and links to the guide that explains it.
Every feature on this page needs HappenBoard Pro. Plans and prices are on the pricing page.
How Pro works with the free plugin
Pro is a second plugin, installed next to the free one. It adds to the screens you already use: same events, same attendees, same settings. If you switch Pro off, the free features keep working.
Most Pro features stay inactive until you set them up, so you only configure the parts you need. Start with installing HappenBoard Pro. Your licence key gives you updates; every feature works without it.
Sell tickets
- Connect Stripe, the payment service that takes the money. Buyers pay on Stripe’s secure page.
- Create ticket types for each event, with a price, a number of seats and sale dates. Early-bird rates and free tickets work the same way.
- Sell them on the event page with the Ticket Picker block. It replaces the RSVP form on any event that has tickets.
- Follow your sales in the Orders screen: search, open an order, export to CSV.
- Refund an order in full or in part, without leaving WordPress.
- Sell through WooCommerce instead, if you already run a shop.
Run the day of the event
- PDF e-tickets attached to the confirmation email, with your logo and colours.
- QR code check-in from a phone or tablet. You choose the event at the door, and you can undo a scan made by mistake.
- The Show my QR page, where attendees open their own code.
- Name badges to print for the welcome desk, one per seat.
- Attendee import from a CSV file, for lists collected elsewhere.
- An activity timeline for each attendee: registration, payment, check-in and cancellation in one place.
Collect more information
- Custom fields store extra details on events, such as a dress code or a level. They can also add questions to the RSVP form and the Ticket Picker, such as a phone number or a meal choice.
- The Event custom fields block shows an event’s custom fields on its page.
The ten Pro blocks
| Block | What it does |
|---|---|
| Ticket Picker | Sells the current event’s tickets (see Sell tickets above). |
| Event custom fields | Shows the current event’s custom field values. |
| Events Photo Grid | A grid of events led by their featured image. |
| Events Tile View | Larger tiles with the image and the text side by side. |
| Schedule / Timetable | A timetable with days in columns and hours in rows, for festivals and conferences. |
| Events Clustered Map | All your events on one map, grouped when they are close together. |
| Events Filter Bar | Visitors narrow a list by category, tag, venue, date or keyword. |
| Events Near Me | Finds events near a city, within a distance, or near the visitor’s location. |
| Event Submission Form | Visitors propose events, saved as pending until you approve them. |
| Find a Time | Searches all your booking services at once for a free time slot. |
Each block has its guide:
- Pro display blocks: Photo Grid, Tile View and Schedule.
- Clustered map and Map Design Studio: the map block, and ready-made map styles for your venue maps.
- The front-end Filter Bar.
- The Events Near Me block.
- Letting visitors submit events.
- The booking blocks, which include Find a Time.
Recurring events and bookings
- Edit a single date of a series: move, skip or restore one date from the admin Calendar without touching the others.
- Booking payments, deposits and pricing rules: take the full price or a deposit through Stripe when a visitor books. Pricing rules change the price on some days, seasons or times. Person types give adults and children their own price.
- Shared resources: several services can share a room or a piece of equipment, and it is never booked more times than you have it.
Sync and notifications
- Two-way sync with Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar. Hosts can also connect their own calendar, so their busy times are not offered for booking.
- Outbound webhooks tell your other tools (Zapier, Make, a CRM) when someone registers, cancels or checks in.
- Slack notifications for your team, and WhatsApp messages for your attendees.
- MailerPress automations start email sequences on registration, reminders, check-in or after the event.
- Emails in the attendee’s language, in the language each attendee picks on your sign-up form.
- SEOPress integration: event details in your SEO titles and descriptions, event breadcrumbs, and an option to hide past events from search engines.
AI and team access
- The AI event assistant fills in the event form from a sentence you type, using your own Anthropic API key. You check the result before saving.
- AI agents get 32 more abilities, for tickets, orders, check-in, custom fields, resources and more.
- Pro roles and permissions decide who can manage tickets, see or refund orders, run check-in and manage resources.
Next steps
- Installing HappenBoard Pro: upload Pro and activate your licence.
- Setting up Stripe: the first step if you bought Pro to sell tickets.
