About

HappenBoard is an events calendar and appointment booking plugin for WordPress, built from the ground up for the block editor and the Site Editor. It is made by the team behind SEOPress and MailerPress.

Why we built it

Events and appointments too often leave WordPress: a ticketing platform here, a booking widget in an iframe there, and pages that search engines and your theme cannot see. We wanted the opposite. With HappenBoard, your calendar, your sign-ups, your bookings and your tickets stay on your own site, in your own database, styled by your own theme.

What we care about

  • Native WordPress. Real blocks rendered on the server, Site Editor templates, and an admin built with the same components as WordPress itself.
  • Speed and search. Event pages load fast, read well for search engines and carry Event schema automatically.
  • Your data stays yours. Standard post types, a REST API, iCal feeds and exports, so nothing locks you in.
  • Privacy by default. No telemetry and no account. External services such as maps, weather or spam checks only run once you switch them on, and WordPress’s personal data tools cover attendees and bookings.
  • Open source. HappenBoard and HappenBoard Pro are free software, released under the GPL.

A generous free plugin, and Pro when you sell

The free plugin, available on WordPress.org, is complete on its own: calendars and event blocks, recurring events, RSVPs with capacity limits, appointment booking, Event schema, iCal feeds and one-click migration from other event plugins.

HappenBoard Pro adds what you need to sell and to run the day itself: paid tickets through Stripe or WooCommerce, PDF e-tickets and QR check-in, calendar sync, custom fields, maps, webhooks and notifications. A Pro licence brings updates and support; your Pro features keep working even if you do not renew. See the pricing.

Built the WordPress way

HappenBoard is written in modern PHP 8.2 and follows the WordPress coding standards, with static analysis and automated tests. It is translation-ready, works with Polylang and WPML, and runs alongside any other event plugin without conflict.
