1. Purpose of this policy
When you visit our website happenboard.com, cookies (and other trackers) are stored on or read from the device you use (your computer, phone or tablet).

3. What cookies are
A cookie is a tracker. When someone browses a website, it allows information about them to be collected.
On a computer, cookies are managed by the web browser (for example Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge).
Besides cookies, there are other types of trackers (for example invisible pixels, fingerprinting, local storage).
Some cookies belong to the website itself; others are third-party cookies placed on the website by other companies.
For simplicity, this policy uses the word “cookies” for all these types of trackers.

4. Types of cookies we use
We use the following types of cookies on the website:
- cookies that make the website work or make it easier to use: login to your customer account (WordPress), cart and checkout (WooCommerce), payment security and fraud prevention on the checkout pages (Stripe), spam protection of the contact form (Cloudflare Turnstile) and remembering your choice in the cookie banner (SEOPress). These cookies do not require your consent.
- content personalization cookies: remembering the language you chose (Polylang).
- audience measurement cookies. We use trackers from our own self-hosted Matomo installation. It is set up to anonymize visitors’ IP addresses, in line with the recommendations of the CNIL (the French data protection authority). On happenboard.com, these trackers are only stored after you accept them in the cookie banner.
- cookies for playing embedded videos (YouTube). Our YouTube videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com): according to YouTube, no information about visitors is stored unless they play the video. Cookies may then be stored when you play a video. The YouTube/Google privacy policy is available here: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- affiliate cookies for the HappenBoard solution or for our partners’ solutions. These cookies identify the customers referred to SEOPress by affiliates and those referred by SEOPress to partners. The list of affiliates and partners is available on request.
We do not use advertising cookies or social media sharing cookies. The links to our X, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and GitHub accounts are plain links: these networks store no trackers when you visit our website.
5. Your rights regarding cookies
Under article 82 of the French law Informatique et Libertés of 6 January 1978, visitors must be informed of the processing of personal data carried out through cookies.
This policy fulfills that duty to inform.
For cookies that require the visitor’s consent, consent is collected through a cookie banner shown on the website.
As long as the visitor has not been informed and has not given express consent, these cookies are not stored on or read from their device.
The banner has two buttons, “Accept” and “Decline”: declining takes one click, just like accepting.

Users can postpone their choice and decide later. As long as they have not given their consent, no cookie that requires consent is stored.
Users can refuse these cookies.
They can withdraw their consent at any time, as easily as they gave it, with the cookie settings button shown on the website.
The user’s choice (accept or decline) is kept for 30 days. After that period, they are asked again. Cookies stored have a maximum lifetime of 13 months.

6. Data subjects’ rights
Data subjects may set guidelines for the storage, erasure and communication of their personal data after their death. These guidelines may be general or specific.
Data subjects also have the right to access, object to, rectify, restrict and erase their personal data and, under certain conditions, the right to data portability. Data subjects may withdraw their consent at any time when consent is the legal basis of the processing.
